1. You may go for a System Restore. Select any restore point when everything was running fine.
2. You may need to uninstall the 3G Modem as well as its software from the Device Manager, reboot and then let the Windows detect the device . Finally you install it's software.
3. You may try to check i's health status on a different system or a laptop/PC.
do you remember if there any changes before this issue happen? installed software, windows update or any?
What is you antivirus status? did you used AVG?
I suggest you update all the driver from the Asus site after performed system restore
