Hi, i live in a studenthouse and we only have one ethernetconnection per room. The problem is i own a pc (Windows 7 Ultimate x64) and a macbook pro (OSX 10.5). i want them both on the internet, so i googled a bit and i took my chances with ICS. i connected my pc with a LAN cable to the hub and i connected my macbook to my pc, also using a LAN-cable. I did a right-click on the internetconnection and under properties/sharing i selected "allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection. Home networking connection: Local area connection 2" Now, windows recognizes the macbook as an unidentified network, and my macbook shows that i have a connection over the ethernetport but thats it, internet isnt working. The connection is made over a PPPoE service, i dont really know what it is or if it has something to do with it. Does anyone know what to do? best regards

Does the Windows 7 computer connects to Internet properly when ICS is establised? I suggest that you check IPv4 settings on both computers. Please manually set the IP address of the peer to peer connection on Windows 7 computer to 192.168.0.1, and set the address of the mac computer to 192.168.0.2, or other addresses that are in the network section 192.168.0.*. Also set the default gateway of the mac computer to 192.168.0.1. If the issue persists, please temporary disable anti-virus and firewall on the Windows 7 computer. Considering that you may connect the two computers with a crossover cable, we cannot guarantee that it will work properly.
