Hi,Please help us clarify if the "security mode" you meaned is the "Protected Mode". If your issue disappeared after disable the "Protected Mode", this issue should be caused by the current Security setting is so high that the website failed to be opened, you can try the following steps to fix your issue.1. Please open Internet Explorer, click "Tools", and click "Internet Options".2. Switch to the "Security" tab.3. Check the box before Enalbe Protected Mode, and click the "Custom level.." button, then click the "Reset.." button, click yes when the warnning window pops up.4. Click OK to save the setting. 5. Restart the IE8 to test again. If the website still fail to show PDF file, you can try to change the "Medium-High (Default) level to the Medium level as a test. In addition, you can test you issue in a new account.Good luck!

Hi,Thanks for your reply.Yes it's surely the protected mode, I'm sorry, german version... ;-)I have tried to reset the settings, no change, also, in the other "normal user" accounts, the issue is the same except of the admin account, there everything works fine!I have moved the TEMP viariables to a new partition and also moved the temporary internet files there, but there is full access and permission for users and admins and this haven't been a problem so far, I'm practising that since years without problems. but it must be smth around there, I have also the impression that no internet files are stored on the harddisk... temporary internet files just contains some .ico files nothing else, also in the admin accountStrange...

I am glad to hear your IE8 works fine in your admin account. At this point, your issue should be caused by the read-write permission on the temporary Internet folder. In fact, you can give all users the full permission on the temporary Internet folder to fix your issue. Good luck! John
