IE 8 64 bit?
Any word on a Windows 764 bit Internet explorer version?

Huh?Win7 (x64) includes, in-box (and, installed by default) both 64- and 32-bit versions of IE8.By default, running IE gets you the 64-bit version; the 32-bit version is listed in the Start menu. So, it's there.BTW, the same applies to Vista, as well as XP Pro x64. ;)HTH,Chris[If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. I had dropped down to IE7 for a web site issue. Was looking to download the IE8 64 bit for Win 7. Saw 2008 and vista listed, but no win 7 so was thinking it might be OS specific.

It IS OS-specific, in that you will only see a 64 bit version of IE8 on a Windows x64 operating system.Internet Explorer 64 bit on Windows 7 x64 can be found here:C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeIts 32 bit counterpart, on the same x64 system, can be found here:C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeHope this helps clear any remaining confusion.-Noel

Are you asking whether there will be one, and when it will come out? It's already out, and comes with the 64-bit versions of Windows 7. Youcan find it in the \Program Files folder (as opposed to the \ProgramFiles (x86) folder where the 32-bit version of IE8 is).But be aware that you can not use Flash with the 64-bit IE8.Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) since 2003Ken Blake

thanks, One of the web sites needed jave, said I was using the 32 bit version. didn't see a win 7 download for 64 bit.

If you go to www.java.com using the 64 bit version of IE8, the download will be the 64 bit Java.I needed to go to the site with each version to get both the 32 and 64 bit Java plugins.
