I am not much of a techie, so was looking for some enlightenment on this issue. I run XP home 32b, IE8, sp3, 2002 ver. What say you smart people? Am I good for a while?Network Users Need Not Panic Over IPv6Now that the IPv4 addresses have been depleted, there is an impulse to panic. However, says PC World,IPv6 rollout will be gradual as the vast majority of Internet users will continue to use IPv4 addresses for the next couple of years and most users won’t even notice a difference. In fact, users of Windows XP and Linux are the only ones who may have to make minor configurations to operating systems, offered free on the internet.1 person got this answerI do too

Punch IPv6 in your favourite search engine and you will find all the answers that you need. You have no need to worry about this, this is a technical issue for the folks who assign IP addresses (the IANA and RIRs) and Internet Service Providers and those who sell gizmos that connect to the net. When these guys get it all sorted out your operating system will be ready for it, XP SP1 and later Microsoft operating systems support IPv6.John
