IP Address defaulting to 192.168.0.x
Hi Friends, I use my laptop at home and office, My office local IP address starts with 192.168.0.X , where as home address 192.168.1.x. the problem is my IP address i always defaults to 192.168.0.59 , what ever the address i changed it is resetting to 192.168.0.59, so internet is working properly in office due to the address is valid , where as it is not at home. Please suggest what could be the issue. i have windows 7 Home Premium. Regards, Shiva. Thanks and Regards, Shiva.

Are you connecting wireless or ethernet cable? If ethernet cable, do you plug the cable in before turning on the computer? Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi, Please make sure the TCP/IP is set to get IP address automatically. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Change-TCP-IP-settings Also, go to update the network adapter driver from the manufacture's site. If the issue persists, the issue could be related to router setting. You could update the firmware and reset it. If you are using wireless, enable the SSID broadcast (don't disable it). If nothing works, please use ipconfig command and paste the result here.
