I CANNOT ACCESS SHARED FILES FROM MY NT SERVER TO MY NEW WINDOWS 7 LAPTOP. I CAN SEE THE LAPTOP FROM THE NT SERVER, BUT I CAN'T SEE THE NT SERVER. HELP!!!

USING WINDOWS 7 LAPTOP AND CANNOT ACCESS SHARED FILES ON MY NT SERVER. HELP!

Hi, Can you ping the NT server from Windows 7 machine? Can other machine access the NT server successfully? Since the laptop can be accessed from NT server, we can eliminate the Windows 7 settings cause. This issue can occur by incorrect network settings on server. Please temporarily turn off firewall and antivirus program on NT server, and then access it from Windows 7 machine again. If the issue persists, please run a Ping test on Windows 7 machine and post the result here. Thanks, Novak
