If something is turning off the security center services it is a good possibility that you may have a Virus/Trojan that is doing it. I suggest a complete virus scan "preferably from a clean disk, like a bootable CD". I should have mentioned this also... You could try going to http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/WelcomePage.asp (must use Internet Explorer) and click continue to semantic security check once there you will need to let IE download 2 active X files then you will be able to run a scan on your system using Semantics online Virus and Trojan scanners. Try Microsoft Security Essentials to scan the computer: http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/mse.aspx Also try the solution here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprosecurity/thread/084209d7-81c7-47f5-85e4-1eb532bac8ba Regards, Miya This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. | Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question. I'd like to also suggest that you get Security Essentials as Miya suggests, Its a virus program that Microsoft gives away for FREE, and from my experience its fairly decent. It isn't a system hog so its OK to leave it running while your doing anything and you will barely know it's there except for the occasional message stating you have not ran a full scan about once a month. Please remember to flag a post that helps you as "answer" so that it may help others with same problems.
