I can ping, but not browse
I have 2 wireless adapters. The first one is a WNDA3100v2 - RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N USB Adapter. It works fine, no problems, I can connect to the internet browse download everything works. The second adapter is a TP-Link TL-WN851N v2. When this adapter is enabled, I am connected at 300bmps with good signal, I can ping any website, resolve any dns in cmd, and I can ping my router. But I cannot load any web page into a browser, I cannot load my routers page and windows and other programs cannot download or update. I have tried every driver I have found, including the chipset drivers, I have tried clean booting it, I tried safe mode, I have tried using it right after a system wipe, and I have tried replacing the router. Any ideas?

Have you made sure the browser doesnt have proxy settings hard-coded. Take a look at the options. Visit: anITKB.com, an IT Knowledge Base.

True, sorry about that...I read that in your post, but didn't consider it when I responded. Unless there is a firewall rule that may be in place at the router to prevent HTTP outbound access for the NIC that doesnt work, I would load a network packet capture program (such as Wireshark) and see if the HTTP packets are actually leaving your computer and if they are returning when connected using the NIC that doesnt work. Got Wireshark up and running, sometimes google search comes through, so I'm seeing some http traffic, but I mostly get server timeouts no matter what I try to access, resulting in seeing only outgoing.

Interesting, the output you posted does show an HTTP response of 200 which means that the webserver sent back an "A-OK" response. Your browser would have shown the page. Have you tried to remove the device from your system (using Device Manager), having it rescan, then re-install the drivers? I have experienced these "strange" issues where there doesnt seem to be a way to fix it until you clean the device out of the OS then re-install it. Another Idea...plug this device in another computer and see if it produces the same result. If so, you know you have a bad device. If not, there is still a problem somewhere on the system. If that doesnt work, I would focus my efforts on obtaining support from the vendor. Visit: anITKB.com, an IT Knowledge Base.

Yea, I've uninstalled the drivers and removed the card many times. Alright, I don't have another comp I can try it with currently, but I had a feeling it would the the hardware, just wanted a second opinion. Thank you for your time, I do in fact, appreciate it.

No problem, wish I could have been more of assistance. If you come up with the solution via more testing, feel free to update the thread. Visit: anITKB.com, an IT Knowledge Base.

This issue can be related to many factors such as protocol or firewall. What is the result after resetting the router? Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
