I cannot change the user name at login.
I had my PC on a home domain and recently had to rebuild the AD box. I removed my PC from the domain and when I restarted it I cannot change the user name to a local user. It has the domain user as the default login and no obvious way to change it. I have tried the Windows key + L and nothing. There are no buttons or menus to allow me to change users. Booting into safe mode yields the same results with poor resolution. There has got to be a keystroke combination to open an input box to change users, does anyone know what it is?

Right now I do not have a Windows 7 machine connected to a domain but under all previous versions of Windows the login panel either had a drop box that showed the validating domain or else a "More" button that would make this drop box visible. If you cannot see it with your own eyes then you could take a snapshot with your digital camera and upload it to www.skydrive.com. _________________________ If this response resolves your problem, please click "Propose as answer" so that the thread can be closed. Hi, Can you login on the machine now? If not, please let me know. Otherwise, I suggest you login on the machine first and open Computer Management window to configure the user’s Properties. You can manually add the user to local groups or create a new local user account. After that, please log off the current account and switch to another use account for a test. Thanks,Novak
