Well as "Bruce " said what your Email Provider orISP and did you get the right settings from them? Also entering the wrong password can cause this issue. Open Outlook Express and click Tools >. Accounts >> select the account you having trouble with and select Properties.On the Account Properties click on Advance Tab and make sure this settings correct per your Email ISP provider.OUTGOING MAIL (SMTP ) 587Tick the box [ ] "This server requires a secure connection"INCOMING MAIL (POP3 ) 110Tick the box [ ] "This server requires a secureconnection"Click on Server and make sure these settings are correct:OUTGOING MAIL (POP3 ): [ POP3.servername.com ]OUTGOING MAIL (SMTP ): [smtp.servername.com ]Check this box:[ ] "My server require Authentication"click [Apply ] then [OK ]If you are using Hotmail try this instruction here:http://mailcall.spaces.live.com/Blog/cns!CC9301187A51FE33!49799.entry?sa=328983732If the above doesn't look right please provide us with your email provider name and where are you located (US,UK, rest of the world...) nass -- http://www.nasstec.co.uk
