I have Windows XP Service Pack 3 and cannot defrag or run scan disk utilities
I use Norton 360 to automatically care for my system, but cannot manually run disk defrag or scan disk. When I run disk defrag it says scan disk is scheduled to run, and when I run scan disk I receive error messages.1 person needs an answerI do too

There is no Scandisk in XP. There is Chkdsk, but one doesn't normally run it unless there are problems. How large is your hard drive and how much free space does it have? To see this, go to My Computer and right-click on the icon for your C: drive. Then left-click on Properties. You will see a pie chart. Post back with what you see for the size and free space.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
