I scan all the time (Microsoft Sec. Essentials, and Windows Live), but my PC has all of the symptoms of  spyware or a virus__
Is it normal to have multiple instances of svchost.exe running at the same time, some of which I can not find info on like the prog. thats using it,or the version, in the details columns simply says (info) not available1 person needs an answerI do too

Yes, it's normal. My Windows XP computer has 7 copies of svchost.exe running.To find out details of what each instance is doing, download and run the free Process Explorer program from Windows Sysinternals .
