Assuming you are using two different machines for Win7 And XP, create folders on the Desktop of the Win7 machine and drag WLMail messages into these folders. Copy these folders with flash or CD to the XP's Desktop. Open the folders and drag the messages into OE folders. If you are going to continue to use two computers with different e-mail programs............. If both computers are using the same e-mail address, on both machines: Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - Check: Leave a copy of messages on the server. On one machine only, check to Delete messages after X days to satisfy your allotted space you get from your server. Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail]

When you used the Export option, did you notice that it only exports to Microsoft Exchange and Windows Live Mail? OE does not have the ability to import the messages in this form. If you open one of the folders on the Desktop, do you see all the individual eml files? If you do, then simply highlight them all and drag them into an empty OE folder in OE's folder tree. If you open any of these folders, do you see individual entries for each message? If you do, those are what you need to highlight and drag into an OE folder. (I would think the Outbox is empty and not needed). Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail]

How about we start all over and do this like I suggested in my first reply. I am not so sure you actually have the WLMail files with the messages. Let's say you have a folder in WLMail named My Mail and you want to transfer all these messages to OE. Drag the WLMail screen to the right so you can see a part of the Desktop. Right click on the Desktop and create a new folder. Now open the My Mail folder in WLMail so you see all the message headers. Highlight one and Ctrl+A will highlight them all. Right click on them and drag them into the Desktop folder. You only copy here so the messages also remain in WLMail. Close WLMail. Open the Desktop folder. Open OE and drag that screen to the right so you can see the OE folder tree and the messages in the Desktop folder. Create a folder in OE called My Mail. Highlight all the Desktop folder messages and drag them into the OE folder. Done! Lather - Rinse - Repeat for the other WLMail folders. Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail]
