Indexing service ( Windows Search service not running ) anymore in windows 7 RC
Hello, I have been using windows 7 RC for sometime now. Everything was fine and all of a sudden my windows search ( indexing ) service is not running anymore. I tried to start it via services but it doesn't start. I get the follwoing error in the event viewer logs" The Windows Search Service has failed to create the new search index. Internal error <10, 0x80071a91, Failed to save Crawl Scope Manager changes: >. "I also see the following error
The Windows Search Service is being stopped because there is a problem with the indexer: Recovery phase failed.Context: Windows Application, SystemIndex CatalogDetails:The gatherer is shutting down. (HRESULT : 0x80040d23) (0x80040d23)This is causing problem with my outlook 2007 search feature as well.Can somebody please help resolve this issue?
