Intermittent VPN Issue
Hey Guys,Hoping to get this sorted out. I'm using the proprietary Vista PPTP VNP client to connect to a remote server. Upon first connection, everything seems to work fine. The VPN connects, and I can open the network drive and access all files. Here's where the problem starts:Scenario:I was using the VPN, and decide to disconnect it. 3 minutes later, I reconnect the VPN. It goes through the steps to connect, authenticates, and claims to be connected fine. I look at the status, and all seems well. Upon trying to open the network drive, the files and folders do not show up. Eventually I get an errror to the effect of "Windows cannot connect to 192.168....etc".If I disconnect the VPN, and reconnect, upon opening the network drive, I will sometimes be able to connect and see all the files and folders. Other times it will just hang and give me that error. Sometimes I have to disconnect and reconnect multiple times before it cooperates. This is on a new machine running Vista SP1. I do not have info on the remote computer, as I did not set it up. the VPN connection and server work flawlessly on both XP and on my Mac running OS X Leopard.Any thoughts? Thanks in advance,DuncanEdit: MS firewalls are turned off. Avast antivirus is installed, as well as logmein software.

I'm thinking this is a domain name resolution issue. I'll be looking into it. If anyone has any advice, I'd be glad to take it. Thanks
