Intermittent network issues on Windows 7 & SBS 2003R2
Got a real strange one here.
Client running SBS 2003 R2, 12 PCs/ laptops running Windows 7 (32 & 64 bit). 3 PCs running XP
Been running same setup for years now, no major problems. Now at various time periods the Windows 7 machines will lose connection to Exchange, shared folders & Internet. Usually switching the router (Draytek 2820) off & on resolves the problem for
around 15 - 20 minutes.
The XP machines have no problem at all, continue to work fine all day.
Then usually after 17:00 (end of business) everything works fine until the next morning.
Have replaced the router - no difference.
Left the machines which are normally switched off at end of day off for a period of time - no difference.
It happened first on the 31st May, then no problems until yesterday & today.
What I can't understand is why the XP machines work absolutely fine, not a glitch at all.
I've tried disabling IPV6 on one of the W7 machines - no difference.

1. Have you tried to used fixes setting for transfer (Full duplex 100Mbps and similar iinstead of Auto)
2. Are there any traces in event logs (on W 7 and SBS)?
3. It does not hurt if you place your question into SBS Technet Forum
4. Have you tried to pinpoint the trouble making W 7 by not starting all W 7s ("round robin"). Chances are, that there is faulty hardware (perhaps network interface card).
