Internet Connection Disconnect After Restarting From Sleep
Hello, I am having a rather odd problem with my vista machine. I connect to the Internet through DSL using WAN Miniport (PPPOE). I don't set it to connect automatically. I simply like to do that part myself. Start --> Connect To --> etc etc. What's going on is the following: 1) I put my computer to sleep 2) I wake up my computer 3) I manually connect to the internet 4) Internet works fine for like 2-3 minutes 5) Internet automatically disconnects 6) If I manually reconnect again, then it's stays connected I'm currently running Vista x86 Ultimate Edition + SP1 Any help would be welcome.

Hi, Before moving on, please confirm the following point. Does the computer have connection issue occur before sleep? At this time, I have the following suggestions. Suggestion 1: Update adapter driver. ================================== 2. Click the Start Button, type devmgmt.msc in the Start Search box and press Enter. 3. Navigate to the display adapters-> Intel Graphics Controller. 4. Right click the drive, and click "Update driver software". 5. Click "Search automatically for updated driver software" 6. Test this issue again. Suggestion 2: Disable saving power. ================================== 1. Click Start, right click Computer and choose Properties. 2. Click Device Manager. 3. Navigate to your network adapter , right click it and choose Properties. 4. Choose Power Management tab. 5. Please assure Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power is unchecked. 6. restart the computer to test this issue again. Does it work? Thanks.
