Internet Explore Error-cannot display webpage
I have searched for days on how to resolve this issue. I have read so many forums and internet responses that I just can't do it any more. I have Windows XP and IE8. I also have more than one computer (when I mention work, I am NOT a business). I use a broadband card and I have to plug it into a router for work. When I try to access the internet when connected via router I get the error message and the diagnostic page tells me I have more than one ethernet connection: infoUsing home Internet connectionNetwork adapter identificationinfoNetwork connection: Name=Cradlepoint router, Device=Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller, MediaType=LAN, SubMediaType=LANinfoNetwork connection: Name=Local Area Connection 11, Device=PdaNet Broadband Adapter, MediaType=LAN, SubMediaType=LANinfoNetwork connection: Name=3G Connection, Device=BCM V.92 56K Modem, MediaType=PHONE, SubMediaType=NONEinfoNetwork connection: Name=NationalAccess - BroadbandAccess, Device=BCM V.92 56K Modem, MediaType=PHONE, SubMediaType=NONEinfoNetwork connection: Name=Verizon Wireless - VZAccess, Device=BCM V.92 56K Modem, MediaType=PHONE, SubMediaType=NONEwarnThis machine has more than one Ethernet or more than one Wireless adapterinfoRedirecting user to support callOn my other computer (which is not owned by me, but I use it for work also) it has Windows XP and IE7 and I have no problems whatsoever using the router with that computer. I also have no problems when I have the broadband card connected directly into either computer (I just disable the LAN-router connection), but as mentioned, I cannot use a connection that way for work, I guess for security reasons. It seems like other people are having this problem too, but everything I have tried to resolve this issue has not worked. I also read somewhere that this is a registry issue, but I have no idea how to take care of that kind of issue. Please help! Thank you

Sorry, I was wondering if I posted in the right spot. No, the behavior does not persist if I eliminate the router. I can connect directly with the modem, but I know the router works because my husbands laptop and the second computer I have work just fine. Of course, the laptop uses a wireless connection so I'm not sure if we would have the same problem if I connected it directly to the router.
