Can't go online, keep getting not connected to the internet, do you want to run diag. However if I use Fire Fox I get online with no problem network connection is fine but still no luck with Internet Explorer 8, I've even reset my router & modem & restarted the system and still the same.

Try enabling the proxy settings, It worked for me. I discovered this fix because this is what I had to do to install the latest Java. Control Panel > Network and Internet > Internet Options > Connections tab > LAN Settings > Click the box "Use a proxy Server for your LAN..."

What about the new RC1 of IE8 that was released today? It won't install even in compatibility mode, as it says our beta 2 version is more recent.Are MS going to roll out RC1 to us via Windows Update? Thanks, CJSnet

I would doubt they will release RC1 to us. The release notes expressly said that IE8 bundled with Win7 was a special version for Win7 only. They want us to test Win7, not IE8. So I assume they'll leave us out on this one.
