When tryinng to connect via LAN I get the following errors, in no particular order or rate of occurence: DNS not responding IP address not valid IP address shared with another computer on the network The modem/router not responding. I am on a laptop using windows 7, on a newtork in an apt building. The network admin is no help. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, assigning a static DNS, and restoring the system. Nothing helps. I can connect via WIFI if I go to a WIFI area. The computer is 7 months old, and no real issues up until wundows updates installed on 12/23. When I try to retore, even going backi a month, I get an error message about a file...looks like a silverlight file. HELP...
