Is Wireless Zero Configuration in XP (SP3) the cause of intermittent interuptions on wifi network.
Hi,my pc's wireless connection is interuppted for a moment or two, occasionally, maybe once a minute sometimes longer sometimes a little less.It does this on an number of different wireless access points,so i think its not any of the routers. It only does it when using WZC. not when using propriatory connection managment software. Its really annoying to have the connection interupted while playing an online game or somesuch. I cant use the propriataroy software everywhere i take the machine, as one of the sites uses a hidden ssid and the software wont configure the wifi nic for them.I read that 802.1x configuration can cause interuptions while its trying to authenticate, so i went to the appropriate tab in Wireless Network Connection Properties> Preferred Network > Properties > Authentication, but the entire tab is greyed out. Leading one to assume its not enabled. Can anyone help with this problem please.1 person needs an answerI do too
