Extended support for Windows 2000 Professional ends, so there will be no more security updates. There's no time limit on using the system. You may continue using the clients indefinitely. It is legal to use Genuine software and version of Windows. But once support end , there would not any support and update and you will have more trouble to secure your clients. I recommend you to plan to Migrate to Windows Vista or Windows 7(recommended) and to do that contact Microsoft and ask them for help.
