Is the standard fix for offline files failing to synch disabling Homegroup
I have about 11 gig of photos and 30 + gig of music and trying to use offline files to keep my wife's pc in sync with the media server is driving me nuts. It always fails and says the network is no longer available yet I can go down into the network neighborhood and browse the media server just fine. I just enable flow control on the NIC and will update the thread if that fixes it. I see in other threads that people are disabling homegroup to fix the problem I am hoping that is not the final solution MS has come up with. Both PCs are running the RTM professional. Once machine is a W764bitPhenom tricore 2.1GHZ with 4 gig of ram and several HDDs from 250 to 1TB. The wife's machine is a w7 32bit 2.8 P4 with 3 Gig of ram.System - Gigabyte 780G Motherboard, 1x250Gb, 2x750Gb, 1x1TB HDDs, AMD Phenom 8450 CPU, ATI HD3200 integrated graphics, 1 Haup 2200 tuner, 2 HDHomerun network tuners, Lite-On BD Player, DVD-RW, Silverstone LC-17 Case, 4Gb RAM, Sony Bravia RPTV
