Is there a GPO to stop the user files folder on the desktop appearing. I have gone through the gpo and ive either missed it or its not there can some one help me please

Is this just in the start menu or on the desktop aswell? And i am not using classic menu's

Hi, When you right-click the desktop and select view, you can uncheck "show desktop icons". No icons at all. Then in the gpedit, user, adminstrative templates, all settings, there is a "prevent changing desktop icons" policy. \Control Panel\Personalization Here's the catch...when you launch Windows Explorer, you see it all, in Favorites and user. So, there's half of the answer. Configure your system image with only the desktop icons or none that you want displyed and policy out any changes. I have not found any way to change Explorer's view yet.
