Is there any way to disable or uninstall Windows Media Player?
I never asked Windows Media Player to interfere copying music files and brief movie files from my hard drive to CDs to free up hard drive space, and I was doing just fine from Windows My Computer interfaxce--until WMP popped up and tried to take over--except it won't copy half of my music files, takes twice as long as the plain interface when it does copy MP3 files, and I have to restart the computer after each movie download or the RAM is all engaged and unable to let go and do something new. I have disassociated WMP from every medium known to man and deleted all its cribbed music "programs" from the files I put on my own drive and am trying to offload. Is there anything else I can do? 1 person needs an answerI do too
