Issue with COM Port during connection between Windows Phone 6.5 & my PC
When using COM ports, either by a a Dial-up set-up or how you are trying to do it, usually the COM port being 'offered' does NOT work as you've clearly discovered! You have to,usually, manually SELECT one. In most cases, by the 'trial-n-error' method! In other words, you may have to experiment a bit......in order to find the one that does WORK.It's frustrating, I know. I used to be on Dial-up, and struck this problem every time I had set-up my modems Yeah, I went through about 6...before I discovered a good one, and How to really set up the COM ports properly! Then I switched to Cable, then, ADSL...then I moved house yet again!Never went backwards, after that.
