Hello all,
I have had a very frustrating problem with my GPU...
(By the way I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but my problem doesn't really fit in any)
Here are my specs.
Nvidia GTX670 Graphics Card
Asus Motherboard Z97-a
Samsung 256G Solid State Drive
Intel i7 DualCore Processor
So I built this system about a year ago, planning to use it immediately. I had an issue that made my graphics card unrecognizable. I had made an amateur mistake and it was not plugged in correctly. However, during this time, I was able to use my speakers and headphones perfectly. After re positioning the card and getting it to register, I had no speakers or headphones showing up under my volume control options or my volume mixer, nor could I play any sound from any port at all, save the USB port. If I use a USB headset I can hear, but any 3.5mm jack on my tower does not work. Initially, I thought it was because my settings made it so sound was routed through my GPU, but when I removed my GPU the issue was still present. Additionally my graphics card does not have a 3.5mm input, only my motherboard has a port, and I am not using HDMI sound. I am very confused on what is happening, as the only thing that shows up under volume control is 2 Devices named "Digital Audio S/PDIF (2-High Definition Audio Device)" One shows that it is playing sound (the green bar fluctuates up and down to show sound is playing but nothing is). The other does nothing. Does anyone have a similar problem? I have been working on this on and off for over a year. I have tried looking in BIOS, changing and disabling my GPU in Device Manager, using different speakers and headphones,
