MS showed I neededto update to 8.1 When I did, it loaded K7 Security as well. It is causing all kinds of crashes. How do I get rid of it.

Are you using this Anti-Malware product?

If yes, visit their websites and install the latest version that is compatible with Windows 8.1 or uninstall current version and install the new one.

Try contact their support and discuss about this issue.

No I am not using it.  In fact I had gone to great pains to make sure I had a clean version of windows 8.0.  Your update had the K7 included apparently and so far I cannot find the files to get rid of it.  It will take hours to reload if I have do a complete clean restore.  What gives with MS associating with such a compnay?

I'm having the same issue after installing Windows 8.1 on my system.  Microsoft what gives????  How about letting everyone know how to uninstall or delete K7 Security from our systems.   Really disappointed that Microsoft did this.

I am also having the same problem.  All of a sudden, after several crashes on a new notebook I had to do a total system recovery and reinstall win 8.1 again. It worked for about 1 week and started doing the same thing again. The notice said k7 security needed to be updated.  I did not install this program and cannot find it to uninstall it. I have t assume that it came with win 8.1 and I am not happy! Is there a reason MS would add this program in and then hide it so it cannot be uninstalled?

I did find an uninstall program on K7's site,http://www.k7security.gr/free_tools.html , but I still don't know that this is safe to use, since I had never heard of this program or company before I started having problems after the win 8.1 upgrade.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
