I've been using a PKZip v9 to create a single zip file to send to hundreds of my sales associates for extraction on their WinXP systems. Recently, we have started deploying Win7 to the sales associates. I quickly learned that the same zip file I used to send to the associates does not readily extract on the Win7 systems. Some of the zipped files included JavaScript, Flash, jpegs, html, and xml. Is there a reason why I was able to extract on WinXP and NOT Win7? [FYI: XP Pro and Win7 Enterprise, respectively, running 32-bit, with PKZip v9 for those that want to know] Thanks for any input.

Hi, Regarding the issue , m just wondering which software you are using to extract ZIP file? Using the pkzip or the Windows Explorer? I have tried on my Windows 7 32bit machine, and it work normally. Since you said “I quickly learned that the same zip file I used to send to the associates does not readily extract on the Win7 systems” . Any error message? Please provide a screenshot for us if you don’t mind. However, by collecting this information now, it will help us move more quickly toward a solution. The following step is to help you to get a screenshot for us that we think would be helpful. How to capture a screenshot ====================== 1. Press the Print Screen key (PrtScn) on your keyboard when the error appears. 2. Click "Start", type "mspaint" in the Search Bar and Press Enter. 3. In the Paint program, click the "Edit", click "Paste". Then click the "File" menu, and select "Save". 4. The "Save As" dialogue box will appear. Type a file name in the "File name:" box, for example: "screenshot". 5. Make sure "JPEG (*.JPG;*.JPEG;*.JPE;*.JFIF)" is selected in the "Save as type" box, click "Desktop" on the left pane and then click "Save". 6. Upload the screenshot to a photo sharing site, such as SkyDrive ,and post a link here.
