LAN internet access & Wireless printing with Vista
I'm having problems with 3 of my Vista Ultimate SP1 workstations. 3 of them are connected to the LAN for Internet with no firewalls blocking and printing to a Canon copier connected via wireless access point. The problems is that I can't print to the Canon copier. Tried pinging the Canon copier and access point also request time out. When I disable the LAN adapter. I can print and ping the Canon copier.LAN is set to grab IP address from the DHCP and the wireless is set with a static IP range different from the LAN.This was working on XP before we switch to Vista. Please advice.Regards,Jeremy

Hi Jeremy, Before we go further, I would like to confirm the following information with you: 1. Are the IP addresses for wired and wireless connection located in different subnets? 2. Do wired and wireless connections connect to the printer through the same Router/Switch? Meanwhile, please reproduce the issue and export the Windows IP Configuration (ipconfig /all) and Route Table (route print) for further research. I look forward to your reply.

Josun, p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman','serif';} .MsoChpDefault {font-size:10.0pt;} @page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in;margin:1.0in 1.0in 1.0in 1.0in;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} I managed to fix the issue. The solution is to change the network range of the wifi adapter to Class C : 192.168.0.xxx Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0. I think the previous IP address range was not compatible.Thank you.
