LAN server IP configuration - Unidentified Network Problem - Windows 7
I have a broadband connection via router and local home network of 6 computers. I like to make direct connection to the internet from MAIN system only (OS is WINDOWS 7) and share the connection with clients (OS is WINDOWS XP) via ICS. So, I got 2 NICs installed and named INTERNET and INTRANET respectively for internet and LAN connection. Problem comes up when i try to share the connection through ICS from the network - INTRANET. As soon as i check "Allow other network users to connect through this computer internet connection" option in Properties>Sharing tab and click OK, network status for both the NICs turn to "Unidentified networks". Is this problem related to the IP address settings, please tell me how to configure ip settings like - default gateway settings and DNS server settings for my MAIN system. How can i enable both the networks...
