Lag issues with Windows 7
I had a problem when using the Windows 7 RC where my lag when watching streaming HD video or playing WoW got so bad it was unwatchable/unplayable. After a while it seemed to just go away and I figured it was just my ISP. Now with the final version It has come back. I decided to check on other computers in the house and they have no problem viewing the HD video that I do. I switched the computers to test if it was just the wire or router mine was hooked up to and that also made no difference . The only difference I can see is they are running XP not Windows7. Instesting thing is when I look at the network under task manager I don't see spikes in the during it. Infact it seems to remain very low. I've tried safe mode and clean boot, neither show any change. I've attempted to do the TCP No delay, but the new key entires show up in my registry but not in my NIC properties. I was using a built-in Ethernet card realteck drivers, but I also grab a trendnet NIC that I had laying around and that didn't work either. I'm close to pulling my hair out trying to figure what he hecks is causing this. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, Here are some suggestions you can try: 1. Bypass the router and connect to DSL modem directly via wired cable, and then check whether the lag persists. 2. Upgrade the router’s firmware and NIC driver on the machine. 3. Take the machine in another network environment to check the result. Thanks, Novak
