Laptop has stopped recognizing our home network
We've got 3 computers setup on a home network via a wired router. These machines have been working properly with the network (have been able to file and print share with no problems) for several years. One desktop runs XP Home, the other desktop and the laptop run XP Pro. A few days ago our laptop inexplicably stopped recognizing the network. I can ping the desktops from the laptop, and I can ping the laptop from the desktops. I can open the shared folder listing on the laptop from the desktops, but cannot open the shared folder list of the desktops from the laptop. All I get is a little popup with the message "The network path was not found." There is no firewall problem ... I turned it off (and even uninstalled the program) and still have the same problem. I've looked through the Microsoft Knowledge Database, but every thing I've tried has no effect. Sigh Anyone got any ideas how to fix this? Much thanks in advance. :-)1 person needs an answerI do too
