Limiting the network view
Our domain is part of the NY State Court System network. On XP computers, My Network Places shows only the computers in our local domain. But with Windows 7, clicking on Network shows each and every computer in NY State. How do I limit this view to only our domain?

Because your account is trusted in the parent domain, so you have permissions to access the resources in that domain and computers in that domain are listed. To change this situation the only way is remove your account in the local domain from the directory of the state domain.Arthur Xie - MSFT

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I am unable to do that. We use a time card system that is State wide, which requires that I have an account in the State's domain. It's strange that we do not have this problem with Windows XP Pro. We can open My Network Places, choose Entire Network and then Microsoft Windows Network and we only view the PC's in our local domain. Our experiments with Vista were the same as Windows 7. We view every PC in NY State.
