Little enhancement Idea for IE8!!
I really wish Microsoft would add an option for when clicking on the drop downarrow in the address bar. When you highlight an address there should be a little arrow next to it which would allow you to open that address in a new tab.Just like your Favorites menu has.Did I explain this ok? :)

HiAnother solution that might be more appealing. On the Address Bar drop down menu, hover the cursor over the URL you want to open in a new tab.Hold down the ALT Key and click the Url.This should open that URL in anew tab.Hope this helps.Thank You for testing Windows 7 RC Ronnie Vernon MVP
