Logging connections on certain ports
Hey there everybody, A little bit of background to put it into context: I recently set up the Subsystem for UNIX Applications (SUA) on my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 operating system and loaded up everything I needed to do what I wanted. I can successfully ssh into this computer externally on the port I've chosen. There are a few other people who require the ability to ssh into this computer, and I've dealt with all of that and it works great. My question is that I'd like to be able to log incoming connections on my selected ssh port. I've scoured Event Viewer and can't find a way to do it. I'd like to be able to see any incoming connection attempts or successful connections on that port, and perhaps some details about it, such as where they're connecting from or which user they're connecting to. How would I go about this? If any of you geniuses (genii?) can help me, I'd be very appreciative :) -BB

Hi, Based on my research, no built-in Windows 7 application can record the log for SSH port. If you would like to monitor the port, you have to download and install some network monitor software, such Netmon. You can view the detail information about incoming connection and IP address. For more information about Netmon, please refer to the link below: NetMon3.3 Thanks, Novak

While I'm disappointed the ability to set logs on certain network or system events doesn't seem to exist, as I'd like to keep things as lean as possible (I'm a minimalist :D), NetMon looks like it's going to do exactly what I'll need. Thank you for your help, Novak.
