Logging on in XP...question
Hi I recently ran a widows update on my acer aspire one 11.6" netbook running windows xp. Now when I turn on the netbook where the welcome screen used to be, I get the account selection prompt with the little display picture and my user name. I don't need to enter a password but it shows up every time I turn it on. Before I would just turn it on and the welcome screen would pop up and presto!...I was on my desktop. Does anyone know how to mess with the settings and putting it back the way it was before with the automatic log on and everything? Please let me know if anyone has some tips... THANKS A LOT EVERYBODY....THIS FORUM iis AWESOME 1 person needs an answerI do too

Select Run from the Start Menu, type control userpasswords2 , and click Ok. Uncheck Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer option, and click Ok. When the Automatically Logon dialogue box pops up, type in your username and password (if you do not have a password, leave it blank) Microsoft Security MVP, 2004 - 2009
