LogonScreen - Do not show domain name
Is it possible to hide the domain name in the windows logon screen this because or naming is not relevant for our employees, and the naming we use it not nice to seei know that this was possible at windows xp/2003i hope that there is a solution for thisGreetingsRudie Egberink

Windows 7 is a Release Candidate and should not be used in a production environment at this time. I'm not sure if this method still works in Windows Vista and 7 but you can give it a try.

hello,i know i that is not for production but i am testing this out for now and if it is released be we will be going to use windows 7 in productioni've tried the method as described above and that one did not work for me.

If the Windows 7 RC computer is in domain, it will not list all users in Logon Screen. However, the user that logged on last time will displayed. You may refer the following KB to disable the How To Prevent the Name of the Last Logged-On User from Being Displayed in the Log On to Windows Dialog Box in Windows Server 2003Arthur Xie - MSFT

that one i know, im looking for something like thisnormaly the windows 7 machine shows me NL0000001.domain.lani want the machine to show me only the word NL or somthing like that.i found something like UPN this will make it change to NL but now i can't logon anymore because NL is not a domain name Is it possible to fake a pre windows name NL000001.domain.lan\username to NL\usernamei hope that there is a way to do thisGreetingsrudie
