Logon Script in Windows 7
I hvae a logon script which can run under user with local administrator right in the Windows 2003 domain environment.
However, when user only have power user right, it willl say "Access Denied".
This logon script is mainly for some regisrty change and copy files.
Any idea on this?

Hi,
That’s seem the power user cannot run this script. Power user in Windows 7 has lower permission than that on
previous version operation.
You can make a task scheduler to run the script at logon, and in task scheduler\create task\general, set security options to use administrator when running the task.
Select both “Run whether user is logged on or not” and “Run with highest privileges”
Hope that helps.

Do you mean run the task scheduler in Windows 7?
How about for 500 machines in a Windows 2003 Domain environment? Is it set in Group Policy?

Hi,
If it is a domain environment, I suggest to contact Windows Server Forum for further help. Maybe some GPOs can realize it.
