Long press power-button shutdown
Does Long press power button shutdown posses any harm on laptop?

Not physically, but yes.

When some changes are made, like updates to the OS, those changes are saved and applied during a proper shutdown.  If you power off a machine without a proper shutdown, you run a risk at corrupting some of your essential files.

Now a days, this is pretty low risk, and sometimes, you don't have a choice.  I wouldn't make a habit of it.  The shutdown process was developed for a reason.

Forcefully shutting down the system can have issues with OS, system files, services etc. Its  not a recommended way, but in case when your system is not responding, you may follow this.
