Losing network printers.
I install two HP printers. I am running the windows 7 64bit drivers (OS is 64 bit). Printers run find. Shut down the computer and start the system in the morning and there is no evidence that the drivers were ever installed. Now printers. There are no messages in the event viewer. I have checked the virus scanner logs to see if it was quarantined, wasn't. The Operating System : Windows 7 Ultimate Professional Media Center 6.01.7600 (64-bit). I created a restore point after installing the printers in the thought that an error was causing a roll back (no event messages but what the hay). How can I track down the problem?? Thanks,

Hi, First, I would like to confirm that if it is able to connect the network properly and if the other computers in the network encounter the same issue. Let’s open the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to run the automated troubleshooting services. 1. Click Start, Control Panel 2. In the Control Panel, click System and Security 3. In the System and Security window, under Action Center, click Troubleshoot common computer problems 4. In the Troubleshoot computer problems window, click Hardware and Sound and select Printer to automatically diagnose and fix a problem. Try performing a backup now and check if things get better. If the troubleshooter doesn’t fix the issue, please boot in Clean Boot to check if it works properly. You may go ahead and uninstall and re-install the existing drivers if the issue persists: · Remove printer driver =============== 1. Click the Start Button, type PRINTER in the search box and press Enter. 2. Right click on the related printer and choose Remove Device. 3. Click the Start the Button, type APPWIZ.CPL in the Search box and press ENTER to launch "Programs and Features". 4. Try to uninstall all related printer software and utilities. 5. Restart the computer. After that, please go to add the network printers and reinstall the drive again.
