Lost IP connectivity after Windows updates
I have had a problem on two computers this week. On XP and one Windows 7 system. In both cases after a windows update the system will no longer automatically detect IP or gateway addresses. I can manually set these and get back connectivity but then when
I need to use my laptop in other locations what do I do. The two systems are different manufacturers (HP and Gateway) and the wireless adapters are differnet. The commonality is both have same problem after windows update. In the laptop case it did not even
finish the update and the problem arose. Restore does not fix the problem. I have not tried a safe restore, would that have a different effect?
Another laptop on the same router works fine when connected and disconnected. I will not update it unitl I get this resolved.
Any ideas?

Open up the Windows Update Window and click update history.
The Review your Update History page, each entry specifies the update type. To uninstall an update, click
installed Updates, to display the Uninstall an update page. From this page you can select an update to uninstall (click on toolbar)
Hope this helps :)
