Lost USB Key for Bitlocker encryption. How do I make another from saved keys?
The title says it all.
A USB key used for a Windows 7 platform that had Bitlocker is gone (broken). I have all the keys saved (just not in a digital format) and I want to know if there is a way to create a new USB Key to use. I imagine this is pretty straight forward, but so far
my Google searches have returned nothing.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

Hello SerousKirk,
Is this not an option in the Bitlocker Control Panel applet.
Open the control panel Bitlocker applet and see if this does not get you what you want
Under Mange Bitlocker
Save or Print Recovery Key again
Save the recovery key to a USB Flash driveThanks, Darrell Gorter This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Finally getting back to you on this, sorry about the delay.
But you are correct! This is an option. "Duplicate USB Key"
Thanks!
