Lost my audio doing some clean-up - XP
I was doing some clean up to try to improve performance. Somewhere in the process I lost all audio. In Windows Media Player I get a message that there is a problem with the sound device. No error codes. XP Home Edition 1 person got this answerI do too

Sounds like you may have uninstalled the driver for your sound card. Access device manager. Look for any listings in the sound device section with yellow question or exclamation marks. Right click on the device and choose update driver.Sometimes deciding which battle to fight is the toughest battle of all..
