Lync 2010 Cumulative Updates

Hi

I am in need of some advice, I need to run the latest Lync 2010 Cumulative Updates prior to installing the first Lync 2013 server. Problem is I cannot work out what Lync shell command I need to update the database. I have all the databases co-located on a backend SQL server spread across multiple drives.

Hi Raju

Thank you for your speedy reply.

We have seen all this but it does not seem very clear, the article states if In a Lync Server 2010 Enterprise Edition environment in which the archiving/monitoring services are not collocated with an Enterprise Edition back-end server , run this cmdlet from the Enterprise Edition front-end server.

Are the saying if the SERVICES are not on the backend server, not the Databases?

Our Backend server only homes all the databases and so if we needed to run the command from the backend server we would need to import the Lync shell?

Also the UseDefaultSqlPaths is worrying as all our databases are spread across different drives and not in the default locations.
