We have seen all this but it does not seem very clear, the article states if
In a Lync Server 2010 Enterprise Edition environment in which the archiving/monitoring services are not collocated with an Enterprise Edition back-end server , run this cmdlet from the Enterprise Edition front-end server.
Are the saying if the SERVICES are not on the backend server, not the Databases?
Our Backend server only homes all the databases and so if we needed to run the command from the backend server we would need to import the Lync
shell?
Also the
UseDefaultSqlPaths
is worrying as all our databases are spread across different drives and not in the default locations.
