Lync Client Conversation History
Currently I have a standard Lync server that I have setup to replace Skype for our office,so far it has been working nicely. But one thing I have noticed, and some of my users have noticed is that unlike Skype conversation history is not saved when I reopen
the dialog box. It can be seen in Outlook, but I would like to know is there anyway to pull up conversation if I start talking to some again after I close out the dialog box.
Any insight would be great!

Yes, you can continue a conversation. In Lync, Just click on "Conversations" tab. Dbl Click on any historical conversation to continue it.

No, Unfortunately that's not possible. Your users will need to go to the Outlook conversation history folder and review the history there, but it will not appear in the newly opened conversation window.

why is not possible? its possible rowe wants to have history tab functionality and of corse its possible. history is saved in outlook and history tab is uses ews for showing history, so if you want to have history in your history tab you must add autodiscover
record for exchange and in your lync history tab will show your lync history. if any question i can help you for its working.

Hej Giorgi, can u help me out how to setup history to show in Lync under the conversation tab instead of having it in outlook? What do you mean I have to add autodiscover record ?

Clarification:
If you're on Lync for Enterprise, when you dbl click on the historical conversation it opens in Outlook and defaults to an email response. To continue the Lync conversation, you have to go to the Ribbon and under the Respond section, choose the drop
down IM > Reply with IM.
