Lync conference ID automatic dialing

Hello,
How can I automatically dial a conference number in Lync?
+12061111011,,2323#,,,,#
The format above works on other products (phones, softphones) but not
on Lync/Skype
, = 30ms pause
# = "please enter the conference number followed by the hash key" or
"please say your name folowed by the hash key"
thanks!

Don't think this is possible. I think the challenge is separating the SIP URI from what you want to be actual pauses and DTMF playback. So if there was a solution it would need to have a SIP URI portion and a DTMF/Pause playback portion.

With the Lync Attendant  you can save DTMF to play back but i don't know that you can with Lync 2010 client.

Yes, you can do what you are asking on, say windows phone.

A final question might be: What is the use case? if you are joining a Lync meeting, why not just the lync meetin

Hi,CristianDG,

Agree with Matt.Entering the conference ID is required when join Lync online meeting,it can not be recognized with your requirements in Lync client by design.I am not sure if this features can be customized with Lync SDK,you can have a look at the SDK document.

I'm going to assume that I'm doing something wrong, because I think Christian's question is spot on.

I'm going to assume that I'm doing something wrong, because I think Christian's question is spot on.

Here's my scenario (Use Case):

I work as a consultant. My company uses Lync. However, I must perform billable work for clients. Sometimes multiple clients. Clients that often have differing conference call systems. In some cases I must dial:  conference call phone number, meeting ID, Profile ID/password (all at least 8 characters and standard password rules apply. Sometimes I lead the call. Sometimes, I attend as a participant. As I travel I often work at a client site on my laptop (not great keyboard ergonomics). Multiply that by 2-3 different systems and by multiple conference calls per day and ... are you beginning to get the idea? Being able to string together the phone#, conference ID, profile ID, etc. would make this so much faster and easier.

If there's another way to address this, I would be very grateful if you would enlighten me

Seems like a pretty huge need for most business users of Lync--is Microsoft working on this feature for a future release?

do you have another VoIP system that does this?

if so, how is it implemented? you almost need to have 2 parts of the contact: the number (and part you want to be part of the sip URI) and the part you want to be the DTMF and pauses.

I have asked for this on more than one voip system...with same response: no. :-)

you can vote on the idea here: http://lync.ideascale.com/a/dtd/ability-to-save-a-contact-s-number-along-with-pauses-and-DTMF/372928-16285?submitted=1

I have exactly the same question.... we do use Lync as IP phone (eliminated the desk phone) but we don't use Lync as our internal / external phone bridge system.

It's outrageous for Skype and now Microsoft to refuse considering this feature for years.  All that is required is a SIP interface to place the call, and then a tone generator to send the follow-on signals.  All we need is a macro recorder/player for the keypad tones that is already there in the user interface.

Totally agree.  I've got the same use case identified above.  Multiple conf call systems and the desire to use Lync as my single VoIP client.  For the time being, I've added the dial string to my contacts list on my iPhone and "one touch dial" from there.  Seems that if Apple have it sussed, Microsoft should be able to sort this out to.  It'd be a HUGE win for them...and they need one.

Bump, exactly he same use case - it must be very common - come on MS provide a solution for this.
