Lync conversation history folder is not create after installing the lync  client.

Lync and outlook version :-

Check the EWS availability with the Exchange Server. This could be due to connection issues with the EWS. You can test it by accessing the https://autodiscover.domain.com/ews/exchange.asmx and you should get an XML file open up in the bowser. Also, you can check it in the configuration information by right click on the Lync client at the notification area while holding the CTRL key

Test E-mail AutoConfiguration
in Outlook 201x is another way to check Autodiscover functionality.

Did the issue happen only for you or for multiple users?

If the issue persists, on Lync 2013 client, OptionPersonalPersonal information manager: make sure you choose the Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Outlook.

Have you checked after upgrading your Lync Client to Lync 2013 from Lync 2010
