You have a couple of options regarding your voice setup.
Option 1) You replace your PBX with Lync server, in this case Lync server will integrate with the PSTN through direct SIP trunk if your local PSTN provider supports SIP. If not then you'll need a media gateway between Lync and PSTN. This media gateway will
also be used to connect your analog phones to it.
Option 2) Keep your PBX and integrate it with Lync, still via SIP trunk if the PBX supports it, and through a media gateway if you have a legacy PBX that doesn't support SIP.
As for the devices you may want to use, you can visit this page, it shows all the qualified PBXs, media gateways and ip phones that you can use with Lync.
